The news is in David and Victoria Beckham are expecting a baby girl!
The couple already has three sons, now the couple can decorate in pink for the first time. “Obviously, we’re very lucky to be expecting again, and this is the first time I’m going to say it: It’s a little girl,” David Beckham revealed at a L.A. Galaxy fan luncheon.
“We’re still in shock. Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon,” he added. “Our three boys are happy and excited, and Victoria is doing well.”
Victoria will give birth to the baby girl in July. The new addition to the family will join three big brothers, ages 11, 8 and 5 years old. “Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are very excited about the arrival,” the couple’s rep said in January.
When interviewed by People in February, the womenswear designer — who is more influential than the Queen of England — said she didn’t yet know the sex but would be happy with either. “We know what to do with boys. But, if it’s a girl, we’d be over the moon as well.”
Her soccer star husband also expressed excitement over the prospect of having a girl, telling the British press back in 2009: “I really want more kids and I hope it happens soon. I want a little girl. That would be amazing.”
