Petite Women Sweep Teen Choice Awards!

By Ann Lauren

Ahh, music to my ears, petite ladies dominate the 11th Annual Teen Choice Awards. It’s time everyone acknowledges the fact that petite girls rule! When it comes to entertainment, we petites rule the red carpet!

Petites are bigger than life! Petite women rule as models, actresses, pop stars, rock stars and athletes. The world of entertainment would be non-existent without the talented and beautiful petite women of the world. The 11th Annual Teen Choice Awards once again proves, beauty comes in small packages and petites pack a punch!

For starters, 5’4″ petite Pop Star & Actress Miley Cyrus swept the night with 6 wins for Choice Movie, Actress, TV, 2 singles, including a win with her boy toys, the Jonas Brothers! What a night for the new brat-packers. Next we have 5’4″ petite celebrity Kristen Stewart, winner of Choice Actress for “Twilight” and daughter of producer John Stewart. I guess growing up in LA with a Hollywood producer affords you some advantages for getting in the Biz!

The star-studded evening continued with petite celebrity 5’4″ Ashley Greene winning for Choice Movie Fresh Face Female, from her role in “Twilight.” The lovely Ashley Greene has been caught embellishing her height, stating she’s 5’5″ on MTV, but likely 5’4″ from actual sightings. As always, everyone seems to lie about their height by 2-4 inches, what gives? Do people think if they say it, it makes it so? It’s too easy to spot the petites!

The Teen Choice Awards was a fun filled night of cool stars and hot performances! Our next famous petite actress is the beautiful 5’2″ Megan Fox, winning for Choice Summer Movie Star Female. She was also, a winner for Choice Female Hottie. Megan once said has a “clinical fear of small people”…Megan claims to be 5′4″, but it seems hollywood hotties lie about their height by 2-4 inches in many cases. Also, Megan Fox seems to always be wearing at least four inch heels.

The drama and excitement continued with beautiful petite actress 5’4″ Leighton Meester winning Choice TV Actress Drama for her role in “Gossip Girl.” Meester’s co-star Brittany Snow is also petite at a mere 5’2″. The “Gossip Girl” cast is stacked with petite beauties. The Choice TV Female Reality/Variety Star award went to Lauren Conrad from “The Hills.” The 5’3″ Conrad has quit “The Hills,” and her next appearances will be on “America’s Next Top Model” September 16 and “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.” No further news on whats to become of Conrads disasterous clothing line debut, indefinite hiatus for now.

Joining the petite celebrity A-List is Selena Gomez, winner for Choice Summer TV Star Female for the “Princess Protection Program.” Selena also won the awards for Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon Female and Choice Celebrity Dancer. There is a lot of speculation about Selena’s true height, with sources saying she’s 103 lbs, light weight and in the height range 5’2″-5’5″, though seeing her in person proves she’s likely 5’3″. Selena, like most petites, wears huge heels, often concealing her true height.

Rounding out the evening awards show petite pop star, 5’1″ Lady Ga Ga, was the winner for the Choice Music Hook-Up for her hit “Just Dance.” You can read more about this petite dynamo in our “Rock Stars, Pop Stars and Height! Petites Rule” article. Lady Ga Ga sported her trademark platinum blonde hair, and wore futuristic outfits and carried a glow in the dark disco sticks during her entertaining performances.

Also awarded for was petite star athlete Shawn Jonson for Choice Female Athlete. Earlier this year Shawn Johnson was on Dancing With The Stars and was the youngest winner of the DWTS championship in the shows history! Shawn also wins for “most petite” measuring in at a wonderful 4’9″. The great gymnasts come is small packages. Isn’t it great?! Shawn won a number of medals in the 2008 Olympics, including three silvers and one gold.

Last, but not least, the most notable tabloid petite pop star, the one and only Britney Spears! Yes, it’s true, the Ultimate Choice Award goes to 5’4″ Britney Spears “The Princess of Pop!” Britney’s name has become famous, and infamous, around the world.

That’s all folks! More proof that petite women truly do rule entertainment!

  2. The Gossip Girl book series was originally supposed to be adapted into a film starring Lindsay Lohan with head Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino.When the film project did not get off the ground, Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz took over the project to create a television series.

Great job with Bella Petite! I can see you work really hard to create this website and quality is good!

  3. Hannah Montana is an American television series, which debuted on March 24, 2006, on the Disney Channel. The series focuses on a girl who lives a double life as an average teenage school girl named Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus) by day and a famous pop singer named Hannah Montana by night, concealing her real identity from the public, other than her close friends and family.

Bella Petite we appreciate your efforts! You are always a good read!
