Petite celebrity 5’1″ Lea Michele has been officially named as the new face of L’Oreal Paris. The ‘Glee’ star landed a contract of $1 Million with an international brand of cosmetics, beauty and perfumes. Her beauty inside and out was recognised by L’Oréal Paris USA president Karen T. Fondu. “A beautiful woman inside and out, Lea truly exemplifies our brand philosophy, ‘Because You’re Worth It,’” L’Oréal Paris USA president Karen T. Fondu adds in a release. “We are so honored to welcome her as a member of the family.”
The starlet’s first print and television ads will break in early 2013. However, her relationship with the brand began long before this partnership.
“Growing up on stage, I was introduced to makeup at a young age and I will never forget the first time I tried on a L’Oréal Paris iconic lipstick,” Michele recalls at the press event . “It was instant glamour, and I’ve been hooked ever since.”
Lea certainly had to believe in her own self-worth while trying to break into the entertainment industry. Since finding fame playing a social outcast on “Glee,” Lea has revealed that when she was just a teen, multiple talent managers told her she wouldn’t make it in the business unless she got a nose job.
Lea’s also admitted that bullies harassed her into adopting her stage name, comprised of her first and middle name. Her real last name, Sarfati, led Lea to be called names like “so fatty” and “so farty.” Free to subscribe to Bella Petite!
Of course, Lea laughs recalling those times and has now bagged $1 million contract with this cosmetic brand. She was stunned when she was asked to be the new face of L’Oreal because she was not a “typical beauty”. Well we at Bella Petite think Lea, you are totally Worth it!
