Skinny Jeans For Apple, Pear, Hourglass & Rectangle Shaped Petite Women
HOW TO WEAR SKINNY JEANS ON ALL PETITE FIGURES: PART THREE
HOURGLASS PETITE FIGURE: Lucky lady, you have the coveted hourglass shape! Respect your figure by pairing a darker wash skinny with a looser top or tunic with some stretch that will hug – but not squeeze – your curves. A universally flattering neckline like a v- or scoop neck is a foolproof selection.
Keep any layers lightweight so you’re not adding any bulk to your petite proportions, but feel free to wear something a bit longer as the outermost layer to cover your backside.
Whatever you do, make sure you’re showing off your tiny waist! Add a skinny dark-colored belt, or choose a cardigan with a tie around the waist. Another option is to go for a fun colored skinny jean with a feminine denim jacket that hits above the hip. Paired with a tunic, you’ll look put together and ensure that your waist is a focal point!
Petite celebrity Kourtney Kardashian dresses her 5’ 0” hourglass shape beautifully by pairing petite skinny jeans with a blousier tank in a lightweight material.
Petite women shouldn’t go too blousy, but the deep v-neck of her top balances this particular look: it slims, elongates, and shows off just a little cleavage. Our only gripe? A more feminine long blazer wouldn’t be as overwhelming – or she could have added a belt to accent her waist!
Skinny jeans are a great opportunity to show off those lean legs – and you have the freedom to spoil yourself with really any color or pattern you like! Your focus is going to be on nipping your waistline, and adding subtle volume to your shoulders and hips.
There are a number of ways to do this, starting with the most obvious: add a dark-colored skinny belt around the smallest part of your waist! You could add this over a slightly blousy boatneck t-shirt, or over a cami and lightweight cardigan for cooler weather.
A lightweight wrap sweater over a light-colored cami is another great option: the lighter color should cover your hips, and the sweater should be cinched right at the smallest part of your waist – the dramatic “v” that the wrap sweater makes is incredibly flattering and shaping for a rectangle figure!
An easy all-in-one curve-creating style that’s everywhere these days is the peplum top. In this outfit we see a belt and peplum top combination, paired with distressed skinny jeans – give this a try, and no one will know you weren’t born with an hourglass figure!
